Tha Family Shanks

Just recently I got the urge to draw a bunch of my favorite guys, from various anime, wearing kimono. Yamato from Naruto got drawn first, since he was the initial inspiration.

So after I got him done, I was at work...working....what did you think I was doing? But my job is so mind numbing that I can generally let my mind wander as I do it. And so I got an idea for a group picture of Shanks, Little Moonie (his daughter from a doujinshi that we will be doing one of these days. If you've browsed my gallery you're probably already familiar with her) And his lover, Moonie's mother Mayori. Not his wife, as they never married.

Moonie only actually met her father about three times, when the pirate drifted back into her island's aegis. This would be a scene from the first time, when she's about four years old. He didn't stay for very long, but there was a festival going on so the three of them went as a true family. Gentle Mayori, Sleepy Moonie and somewhat bemused Shanks, who took the news of being a father quite well, considering.
